Driving licence (selected posts)
- Manager (Operations) and Junior Executive (Operations): valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) licence is essential. Temporary / Learning licence is not accepted.
- Manager (Fire Services): valid Permanent LMV licence required at Application Verification (temporary/learning not accepted). After selection, Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence with two years of induction is required as per the note in the advertisement (failing which, promotion / third annual increment onwards may be affected).

Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – Objective type for all posts. No negative marking for wrong answers. Syllabus will be uploaded under the Syllabus column of Advt. No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT on the AAI website. CBT is bilingual (Hindi and English), except the language test if any.
- Application Verification / Subsequent Tests (as applicable) for all posts, based on CBT performance shortlisting.
- Interview – for Manager posts (Post Codes 1–11) as part of selection.
- Manager (Fire Services) only: after Application Verification — Physical Measurement Test, Driving Test and Physical Endurance Test (Running, Casualty Carrying, Pole Climbing, Rope Climbing, Full Ladder Climbing & Descending). Only those who qualify these tests are allowed for interview. Standards are under the official Press Note.
- Provisional selection on merit (CBT + Interview where applicable), subject to document verification, medical standards, character verification, and other AAI rules.
- Posting can be anywhere in India.
Admit cards for CBT and later call letters will be issued online / intimated on registered email. Regularly check www.aai.aero and email (including spam).
